How I Bought My Husband an XBOX ONE S with Amazon No Rush Shipping Credits!
I just found out that you may not be able to purchase a PlayStation System, if that is what you prefer over the Xbox, with the PlayStation Digital Gift cards. Apparently they do not sell the actual system on their site? That is just what I have heard so I wanted to inform you guys! I personally have not tried to get a PlayStation so be aware that using the PlayStation gift cards may not work to get the system! BUT I do know that the Xbox gift cards can be used to buy anything on the Microsoft site like tablets, computers, and other gaming stuff!
Now on to the post :)
I love Amazon.
I shop on there a LOT. Because of this I have accumulated over $300 in No Rush Shipping Credits.
If you don't know what those are, click HERE!
As a reminder, the reward credits do expire at some point.
You can check HERE for how many you have, of what kind, and when they expire.
Example: I made a ton of purchases for the whole year around June 17th, once those items shipped I received an email saying the no rush shipping credits would expire Sept. 20th. They can expire a month to 5 months after you get them.
Now on to how I got my husband an Xbox with the No Rush Shipping Credits!
Step 1. ACCUMULATE DIGITAL NO RUSH SHIPPING REWARD CREDITS
Remember, If you do not have enough credits saved up to pay for a system fully you can at least pay for some of it with No Rush Shipping Credits!
First of all you have to purchase enough items and always choose the no rush shipping digital credit option, if available, in order to save up. Make sure you keep an eye on when the credits will expire so you can use them before they do!
For example, I started accumulating credits from about June through August. During that time I accumulated about $300 in no rush shipping digital credits. Which means I made a least 300 individual purchases on Amazon during that time....haha yeah that is crazy! BUT lots of families spend that much on every day necessities, like diapers, wipes, food, paper towels and so on. So if you start using Amazon for all of these purchase, and purchase them all in separate orders, you could possibly get up to that number to FULLY pay for the gaming system! If you don't accumulate that much, no problem! You can still cover some of the cost of the system, which can still help a ton!
The way I personally accumulated $300 is because I am a member of Amazon Deal sites & facebook pages. These pages hunt down the lowest prices of different items on Amazon and share them so you NEVER pay full price for some things! I personally run the
SHOP FOR LESS WITH LAURA
facebook page and so I find all kinds of amazing deals, which is why I purchase so much .BUT sometimes the items are even free! This is a great way to gain those rewards and get all of your shopping done for holidays and every day items!
Here is a tip: if an item is cheap enough but you personally do not need it, you can still buy it and up the price and sell it locally!
Once you have accumulated the desired amount of No Rush Shipping Credits or you have credits that are about to expire, you then head over HERE and purchase an Xbox digital gift card. NOT the Xbox live one. Click on the one you want and press checkout. I think the cheapest is $10. During the checkout process your order should come to $0 and it should show you that your credits are being applied. DO NOT CHECKOUT IF YOU DO NOT SEE THAT. If you do see the credits being used, then complete the checkout.
When I purchased mine it cost $90 for a $100 gift card and I purchased 3 of those separately. Equaling to $300 but I only spent $270 in no rush shipping credits so I still had some credits left over. I cashed out all in one day but you can purchase gift cards whenever and once you have enough saved up you can then go on to buy a system.
When I wrote this, xbox digital gift cards do not expire but please contact amazon if you would like to know for sure because rules can change :)
You can also purchase PlayStation Digital Gift cards if you would prefer to get a PlayStation and not an Xbox!
Below is the order details on ONE of the gift cards I purchases with the Credits.
Once you purchased your gift card(s) you need to
1. hover over "Your Account & Lists" on the top right of your page under the Amazon search bar.
2. click "Your Account" from the drop down menu.
3.scroll down to the area where it says "Digital Content and Devices"
4. under that click "Games and Software"
5. It will then take you to all of your digital purchase
When you find your gift cards, on the right side it should say "redeem from xbox.com"
1. Click "redeem from xbox.com" It will then take you to a different site.
2. Then redeem your gift card(s) by following the directions on that site.
**Make sure you are logged into your Microsoft account and not someone elses or your gift card will go on their account!
Now all you have to do is find the item you want from the Store tab. Add it to your cart, and go through the checkout. It should ask around the bottom of the page if you want to use Microsoft Credits to pay. Make sure those apply and checkout! It will not ask for your credit card info if you accumulated enough credits to pay for the whole thing. If you did not accumulate enough then it will ask for your card info.
Now, I have no idea if these credits can go towards ANYTHING else on that site, BUT I do know these gift cards act like a credit card so I do not see why they wouldn't go towards controllers, tablets, laptops, and so forth! Go ahead and try it on other items and see!
